Date, Time and Location
The 9th SCGAS will be held at the Department of Matematics of University of California at Irvine on Saturday, February 2, 2002 and Sunday, February 3, 2002.

The first talk will be at 11:00am Saturday morning and the last talk will be right after lunch of Sunday, to allow for travel. There will be a banquet on Saturday evening.

Graduate students, fresh Ph.D.s and minorities are especially welcome to join our annual seminar. Partial financial support is available.

The Seminar is supported by the NSF.

Registration and Social Events

Participants are asked to register in advance. An electronic Registration Form is now available. See here the list of people already registered.

The registration fee is $15, payable in advance by check made out to "Zhiqin Lu" and mailed to Zhiqin Lu , Department of Mathematics, UC, Irvine, Irvine, CA 92697.

There will be a banquet on Saturday night. The price is around $30, tax and tip included. If you wish to attend the banquet, you must sign up on Saturday Feb 2, 2002. Please check the appropriate boxes on the registration form. You can write one check to cover both registration fee and the banquet cost.


The SCGAS will provide breakfast on Sunday and refreshments throughout the weekend for all participants.

 

Financial Support

The 9th SCGAS is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

M. Helena Noronha, Program Director of Topology and Geometric Analysis in the Division of Mathematical Sciences of the National Science Foundation, will be present during the Seminar. She will be happy to answer questions you may have regarding NSF- Geom Analysis program.

At least 40% of the total expenses will be given to graduate students, young faculties who do not have NSF or other grant or school support and under-represented groups.

People interested in applying for travel funds should check the appropriate box in the electronic registration form. The deadline for sending in requests for travel support is January 15th, 2002.
