Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems
Research interests of the group concern topics in Ergodic Theory, Topological, Smooth, and Hamiltonian Dynamics. A particular emphasis is placed on research at the interface between the theory of dynamical systems and other branches of mathematics and science in general (Logic, Celestial Mechanics, Mathematical Physics, Economics, and Social Sciences). The faculty members in the group intensively interact with researchers from worldwide known centers for dynamical systems (such as Cornell University, Hebrew University, IMPA, Maryland University, Northwestern University, Penn State, Rice University), enriching mathematical life at UCI.
