This morning's message features a contribution by author Peter Gemma: No Eunuch ever wrote a book. I would be surprised that anyone could document that title, a Taylor Caldwll assertion. Yet, it clearly contains an entertaining truth: You can't write novels without a viewpoint.

Mr. Gemma's article isn't even a partial review of Taylor Caldwell's work. Rather, it features many of TC's stark interactions with journalism of the decades of the '50s, 60's and '70s before her severe stroke in 1980, the last year of her prolific novel production.

Putting together a a nuanced understanding of TC's intelligence, what it served and her predilections is a formidable project. This can't be entirely achieved until her literary talents (often subtle) are folded into some from her rougher public diatribes. Peter's article steps in that direction.

Another source, outside of Open Road for Ms. Caldwell's e-books is eNet books. They cooperate with us, the Descendants of Taylor Caldwell. You can find their stable of Taylor Caldwell books … including Dear and Glorious Physician and The Listener third in their author list.

We have created a signup sheet for TC Announcements and messages, like this one. You are already on our list. Please have anyone else in your family or acquaintances who might relish TC's historical views consider signing up by forwarde this e-mail to them. Have them click on Descendants Signup Sheet. to fill in their e-mail, first name and last name. To sustain the integrity of the list, those are mandatory items.

Our family members are excited to get to know you. We invite you to respond to one of these messages to suggest topics of interest to yourself about TC.

My next message will inform you of October's Open Road promotions of TC's books.
