Physical Sciences Breakfast Lecture Series with Charles Newman

The final lecture of this year's Physical Sciences Breakfast Lecture Series is taking place on Tuesday, May 14th at the Student Center, Pacific Ballroom.

Professor Charles Newman from the Department of Mathematics at UC Irvine will present: Spin Glasses and ComplexityIn his presentation, Dr. Newman will share how spin glasses play a role in biology as well as computer science including evolution and social network modeling. Come see how the application of spin glass concepts could lead to future medical and technological breakthroughs. Please see the attached flyer for more information on this lecture.

Free continental breakfast will be available from 7:30 - 8 a.m., the lecture will take place from 8 - 9 a.m. We ask that you please RSVP by  Thursday, May 9th at http://ps.uci.edu/content/bls-registration.

Parking is available at Student Center Parking Structure located on the corner of Pereira Dr. and West Peltason. (For a map of campus go to http://www.uci.edu/campusmap/.) Please note that free parking is not available this year. Parking fees are $2 per hour or $10 per day.
