Grading:    Quizzes 35%, midterm exam 25%, final exam 40%.

Homework and quizzes:    Homework problems will serve as a preparation for the quizzes and exams. Quizzes will be given in discussion sections. Every quiz takes about 15 minutes. The quiz will cover material from the previous homework assignment. The lowest quiz grade will be dropped from the final grade calculation. Your discussion section TA will provide more details about quiz logistics.  There will be one midterm and one final exam.
