This sequence intends to cover and quickly review the basic undergraduate algebra 
material (Math 120AB, Math 121AB) and to prepare the incoming graduate students to 
pass the comprehensive algebra exam. An additional goal is to 
prepare the background for the graduate algebra sequence 230ABC. 

The final grade of this course will be based on one final 
exam (50%), one midterm (30%) as well as homework (20%). 
The problems on the final exam will come from the suggested 
homework problems as well as examples in the lectures.
