Limits and continuity are the main focus of this week. A topological
definition of continuity will be given and the interplay between
topological concepts and continuity will be investigated. Lecture 6 is
devoted to proving a first characterization of compactness in an
infinite dimensional space: the Arzéla-Ascoli Theorem on
compactness of subsets in the space of continuous functions defined on
a compact metric space.
