This week is fully devoted to differentiability, where the concept is
given a thorough motivation and some of its basic properties are
reviewed for real, real-valued functions in Lecture 7. Lecture 8
deals with differentiability in the context of several variables and
proves two fundamental theorems: the Inverse and the Implicit
Function Theorems. Applications to computation of extrema are
considered in Lecture 9.
