Abstract Algebra, by Dummit and Foote. Some material will also be taken from Linear Representations of Finite Groups, by Serre.

Section numbers are from Dummit & Foote. You are responsible for the following sections of the book. I highly recommend that you read them before the corresponding lecture. There may be material from the text not completely covered in the lecture.
