MIDTERM 1 -- WEDNESDAY JANUARY 27: I will do a review session on Monday and there will be a review on Tuesday discussion. Midterm 1 will cover only the review material, that is, everyting from the beginning of the quarter up to change of coordinates in multiple integrals inclusive. There will be no material from Chapter 15 on Midterm 1.
The exam will consist of 4 questions, each worth 10 points. The questions will be of computational nature. All computations in the exam that lead to integrals will result  in  integrals that are easy to compute. The following is a list of sample problems -- problems of this kind are to be expected on the exam.
Please look at these problems and try to figure out which of them are easy for you and which of them are problematic. During the review sessions, ask concrete questions concerning the solutions of the problems.
Practice problems: Book: Section 11.3, Problem 21; Section 11.4 Problem 11, 17, 51; Section 12.1 Problem 33, 37; Section 12.6 Problem 15, 19, 27, 47, Section 14.3 Problem 7, 9, Section 14.4 Problems 1,4,5; Section 14.8 Problem 1, 15, 19, 23
