Homework
Mat 21A
These problems form the
minimum necessary to understand the material in the course.
It is your responsibility to check the homework assignments
each week to see if there have been updates. Early
posting of tentative homework assignments is given as
a courtesy to those who want to work ahead.
Homework is generally due on Mondays
(see the schedule below).
Please hand your homework to the Lead TA at the end of the class. The
homework will then be graded by readers as soon as possible, then
returned to the boxes
in the basement of Wellman Hall.
Late
homework will not be accepted under any circumstances. One HW with lowest score will be dropped.
Since grading a homework assignment
takes about a
week, you may not get your last assignment back before the midterm. If
you need that assignment to study, I suggest you make
a copy of it before you hand it in.
Only even numbered problems will appear in HW.
The odd problems however must be done for you to
master the material. To encourage you to do the odd problems, I am
planning to put one or two of the odd problems
on each of the midterm and final, with only minor
modification.
You do not need to use graphical utilities for any of the assigned
problems. Ignore parts of problems which request graphical utilities.
