Important information about Math 21A

Course webpage: http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~vershynin/teaching/2006-07/21A/course.html

Prerequisites
If you wish to enroll in this class, you must satisfy the department's Mathematics Placement Requirement (MPR). This prerequisite is very useful in assisting you in determining the appropriate first mathematics class to take at UC Davis. You will be administratively dropped from this course if you have not satisfied the MPR.

During lectures
The lecture starts and ends at exact times specified in the schedule. Please do not be late. Do not begin to pack up before the lecture ends.
Please switch off your cellphone before the lecture starts.
Please bear in mind that talking, newspaper reading, etc. disrupt the lectures.

No food or drink is allowed in class.

Homework
Late homework will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Exams
Please bring your student ID card. No books, calculators, etc. are allowed in exams. Please be careful in your answers. Little or no partial credit will be given for incorrect answers in most cases. Show all work for full credit. Usually a correct answer with no supporting work will NOT receive full credit.  There will be no make-up exams. A missed exam counts as 0 points. If you miss the midterm for a documented medical reason, the midterm will not count and its weight will be added to the final.
