Travel support: Some travel funding is available for participants, with preference given to graduate students and postdocs, especially those giving lightning talks. We also encourage applications from members of under-represented groups. If you would like to apply for funding, please contact Nathan Kaplan with an itemized estimate of expenses, preferably by October 10th. Please include your name, affiliation, and advisor's name (if applicable). We strongly encourage carpooling.

Dinner: There will be a conference dinner.  Details TBD.

Directions:

By car

From the north: Take I-405 to 73 south, and exit at Bison (there is no toll, despite the confusing signs).
From the south: Take I-5 to 73 north, and exit 73 at Bison (this part of 73 is a toll road).

Take Bison Avenue/Michael Drake Drive east into campus.

The closest lot to the lectures is 12A. You can get an hourly parking permit from the dispenser near the entrance to Lot 12A.  Unfortunately, there is no good place to buy a daily parking pass in Lot 12A.  You can buy a daily permit and park in an unmarked stall in the Anteater Parking Structure, which is APS in E7 on the map.

UC Irvine honors quarterly and annual faculty/staff permits from other UC campuses, but only for physical permits (not license plate recognition).  See this website for additional information.

By air

Orange County airport (SNA) is approximately 5 miles from campus.
