University Studies 4-Fall 2012-Suggested Projects from October 4 meeting 

The following research papers and notes contain the proofs of the theorems which were stated in the October 4 meeting of the seminar.

You are not expected to be able to understand completely all of this material right now, but with my help you might be able to, during the course of the seminar.

In any case, do not be scared away by these files, as I will be proposing other more accessible ones after each meeting.

These works, as well as other resources, will serve as the basis for your project ("term paper") for the seminar. More on that later in the quarter

The file called "Gradus ad Parnassum" below contains a list of 34 exercises, some of which will be pointed out individually after each meeting of the seminar.

The relevant exercises from the October 4 meeting are numbers 2,3,4 and 29,30 in that file.

The last item is a survey paper I recently wrote which was motivated by the material in this seminar. (Do not take it too seriously!)
