University Studies 4-Fall 2012-Suggested Projects from First meeting
The following four research papers from the middle of the 20th century contain the proofs of the theorems which were stated in the first meeting of the seminar.
You are not expected to be able to understand these papers right now, but with my help you might be able to, during the course of the seminar.
In any case, do not be scared away by these papers, as I will be proposing other more accessible ones after each meeting.
These papers, as well as other resources, will serve as the basis for your project ("term paper") for the seminar.
The file called "Gradus ad Parnassum" below contains a list of 34 exercises, some of which will be pointed out individually after each meeting of the seminar.
The relevant exercises from the September 27 meeting are numbers 1 and 28 in that file.
