Damek Davis, a UCI Mathematics Undergraduate, has received an NSF Graduate Fellowship.

The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in the U.S. and abroad. The fellowship provides recipients with three years of support for graduate school.

Damek is currently working with Professor Daqing Wan. Their article "Factorial and Noetherian Subrings of Power Series Rings" was accepted for publication in the Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society.
