A conference on open questions in cryptography and number theory will be held September 17-21, 2018 at UC Irvine.  In addition to bringing together mathematicians and cryptographers to discuss open questions, this conference will celebrate Alice Silverberg's 60th birthday.

Professor Silverberg's research areas include Number Theory and its applications to Cryptography.  She was awarded a large grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to engage mathematicians and cryptographers in developing more efficient and secure methods of computing.

Funding for the conference is provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Number Theory Foundation, and the National Science Foundation.
