The UCI Math Department's Math CEO (Community Educational Outreach) Program has been recognized with a grant from the American Honda Foundation.  Led by Math Department Professors Alessandra Pantano and Li-Sheng Tseng, this innovative outreach program promotes college education and STEM careers to underserved middle school students in Orange County, CA.  It brings together UCI faculty/students/staff and underserved middle school students for weekly sessions of math enrichment. The UCI Math CEO program began as a pilot program in the fall 2014 working with 25 students from one middle school in Santa Ana, CA.  It has since grown to working weekly with over 160 students from four public middle schools in Orange County.

The American Honda Foundation Grant will support Math CEO's further expansion and development of an outreach program targeted towards underserved high school students in the Santa Ana, CA.  For more details
