Jonathan Li, an Orange County high school student conducting research under the supervision of Chancellor's Professor John Lowengrub, has been named an Intel Science Talent Search 2011 finalist, one of only 40 across the country. His work is titled "Effects of Cell Compressibility, Motility and Contact Inhibition on the Growth of Tumor Cell Clusters."
 
The Intel Science Talent Search is the nation's most prestigious science research competition for high school seniors. The Intel STS encourages talented U.S. high school seniors to pursue independent research in science, math, engineering, and medicine. The finals will take place in March in Washington D.C.
 
Jonathan attends St. Margaret's Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano and was recently featured in the OC Register and on CBS news.
