Robert Kohn Professor

Robert Kohn is currently a Professor of Mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University. He has given plenary lectures at the 2006 International Congress of Mathematicians and at the 2007 International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. In 1999, he received the Ralph E. Kleinman prize, which is awarded to one individual for outstanding research that bridges the gap between mathematics and applications. His current research interests are nonlinear partial differential equations, calculus of variations, phase transformations, and composite materials.
