This talk surveys the main from non-archimedean geometry and perfectoid spaces. We review adic spectra Spa(R,R+), rational subsets, and the spectral-dimension framework used to measure “size” in this setting. We then introduce perfectoid fields/spaces and the tilting equivalence, and explain how finite étale morphisms behave well in the perfectoid category and are compatible with tilting.
