The Department of Mathematics is proud to announce that Professor Alessandra Pantano has received the 2026 Carol Crawford Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching from the Southern California-Nevada Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). This prestigious award recognizes exceptional college and university educators whose impact extends beyond their own institution.

In addition, Professor Pantano has been awarded the 2026 Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Fostering of Undergraduate Research for the School of Physical Sciences, recognizing her outstanding mentorship and dedication to undergraduate student research.
