The Mathematics Minor is an excellent complement to many majors; including physics, chemistry, engineering, computer science, business, economics, biology, etc.
The UCI Mathematics Minor requires students to complete:
- Mathematics 13
- Mathematics 120A or 140A
- five additional upper-division lecture courses in Mathematics (plus the associated laboratories, where applicable) numbered 100-189.
Note: Nearly all upper-division courses in Mathematics have Mathematics 2A-B, 3A as prerequisites, and many courses have additional prerequisites such as Mathematics 2D, 2E, and/or 3D.
